3D Model and Rendering Process
Draft process as of February 23, 2024
Step 1: Gather the required files
We will ask you to submit a job request with as many details as possible including: comprehensive plans, elevations, site plan, and other documents in pdf format for quoting purposes. Once quote is approved we will require CAD .dwg files from your architect or designer with frint, side rear and top elevations included.
Please also submit any site pictures, images of houses you want, reference images, etc. The more details we have from you, the more accurate the final result would be of what you need.
The aim of providing as much detail as possible is to ensure that the first draft is as accurate as possible, as well as to reduce the number of drafts and time it takes to create these draft.
We'll also require a chosen perspective so that we can set up camera angles to capture the elevation or direction you're looking for.
The final image is approximately 3600 x 2400 pixels in size (this may vary but is a general size approximation), which is ideal for internet, brochures, print media, and small signboards. If you want the final image to be printed on a big signboard or billboard, we'll need to know the final image's dimensions, pixels, and DPI. If you don't already have this information, your printing company will provide it to you. The size of some renders is limited, and this varies from project to project depending on the level of detail.
Step 2: Make a 3D Model
We build a 3D model based on your supplied CAD drawing and the details and perspective you provide when you submitted your job request. If significant changes are made and your plans are changed after we have created the 3D model , additional charges to modify the model, will apply based on an hourly production rate of $75/hr.
Step 3 - Colors, Materials, Landscaping & Lighting
Once the 3D model and perspective have been approved, we proceed to applying the colors, materials, landscaping and lighting to the image.
If you haven’t already supplied them, we will require all of your color and material choices for your project at this point. The first drafts of your initial colors, materials and lanscaping is sent through, after which you may make adjustments and new draft are sent through. This process is repeated up to three times until you are satisfied with your final choices. Additional rounds of revisions after 3 will be charged based on an hourly production rate of $75/hr. Since each project and its needs are unique, this is regulated on a project-by-project basis.
Step 4: FInal High Resolution Rendering Created
Once all aspects of the draft are approved as final including: colors, fabrics, perspective, landscaping and all model design and finishes and you have stamped and signed off on the image, we move forward and generate the final high resolution render to approx. 3600 x 2400 pixels.. Please note that once the final render has been created, no further modifications to the model, colors, or materials are included in the pricing provided. If further changes are made, there will be additional costs associated with implementing these changes based on an hourly production rate of $75/hr.
